Finding inspiration......

Nellie Morgan, a diamond in the rough!

Hello, I am in a bind, and am having an 'Artist Block', this happens so often to artists that it should actually be in the medical journals, Hehe!!!! My 19 year old has moved back home and i have relinquished my crafting room once more! This is merely a speed bump for creativity and i will get past it, but now all my crafting 'gear' is in my closet, which hampers creating. I have been working on my 27 inch girl Izannah Walker doll, but not as often as i would prefere, here she is in her rough state prior to sanding, and adhereing her ears. Her name is Nellie Morgan and she is little sister to Isaac, my last Izannah inspired doll. Nellie is starting to take shape and is coming to life gracefully.

How do YOU get past an 'Artist Rut or block'? Our gracious leader in Coffee With Tea (CWT) on Ebay has suggested taking a peek at the other gals in the groups lastest creations, and ya know what, I did and it seems to have helped!!!!!! There are so many wonderful and creative artists in one place there, it is actually heart stopping and so inspiring!!!!
I am signing off, and i hope that an artist block does not come to you anytime soon!!!!
Many Hugs,
Jackie

Jackie, this is Carol who bought a girl izzie doll last summer from you. i lost your email address. there is a wonderful antique izannah for inspiration on Carmel doll shop web site, under early dolls. click on pics to zoom in. and they have many pics of this doll, even undressed front and back. that should help writers block. think about an angel izannah with cloth quilted wings. or teeny izannah to decorate your tree. think of izannahs in warm coats, riding sleighs full of tiny brown packages. red wool cloaks over their best dresses and aprons while making cookies.
