Nellie's Apron
Hello dollmakers and doll lovers, here is a very simple primitive apron made of old muslin, i put a braid trim on her pockets, I wanted to keep her really simple and lovely. I also noticed that one pocket is a bit lower than the other, after seeing the picure, but decided to leave it that way for a more prim look. What do you think? Since Nellie is on her way to Grandmothers house, she will also be carrying a few wonderful items in her tin 'basket', which are still in the process of being completed. I know i am the slowest dollmaker in history, so please bare with me. For the life of me, i can not find those antique linen napkins...maybe i already used them? I guess i will have to make a trip to the Antique World Mall, so i can finish her chemise, and unders...what a fantastic idea,YIPPY!!!!!! I LOVE that place!
Well Big Lovin Dollie Hugs to ya,
Jackie

Jackie
PS I do not do 'primitive' well, and i think i will still change that pocket on her apron, I am working on changing her hairline, as it is just driving me up the wall! I also dont care for the 'aging' in the middle of her forhead. : )
I would not have noticed the pocket had you not pointed it out (I can't even now make it out) I think her apron looks lovely. (And I still think her hairline is perfect but I guess if it is driving your up the wall it is best to change it!)
Jenny,
To Me, her hairline looks more like a boy Izzy dolls because it is a bit higher and more masculine, than not. Her apron hasnt been pressed yet, so it might look different after. It never ceases to amaze me the mistakes I make on on a doll , which are not visable until a picture is taken, does everyone else experience this?
Thanks for stoppin' in!!!!
Big Dollie HUgs,
Jackie
Hi Jackie~ Nellie is looking lovely in her new apron. I know we live fairly close to one another, maybe a town apart? Now, is this the antique mall on Overland? Hope you find just the thing for her undies!
Suzanne,
Yes, I am guessing you live on one of the roads I drag myself to work every morning on. : )
Your yard pics look familiar! Yep, The Antique World mall on Overland, dont ya just love that place, they could lock me in there all year long Hehe, I'd even dust for them! The only real sad thing, they do not have many dolls!
Thanks for stoppin' by!
Thanks also for the compliment on Nellie!!: )
Hugs,
Jackie
