Itty Bitty Izzy Fabric

Here is another choice of fabric, not sure yet, if i really like it though. I dont think i have ever had such a time picking a fabric for a doll. Oh My Word...It seems like there is just not enough hours in a weekend to do everything huh?...
Hope everyone is well!!!!
Many Doll Hugs,
Jackie
This is my third choice, if it doesnt work i'm throwin' in the towel....

Well, Hello, Everyone, I wanted to share with you the fabric I chose for my Itty Bitty Izzy doll dress. At first i chose a white cheese cloth type fabric with green specks that was sent to me by a fanatstic doll maker, Shirley Walker, but after working with it and 'TRYING' to make an Izzy dress from it, i changed my mind, I just couldnt do it. So now I chose a vintage grey and maroon striped cotton fabric for Itty, which i named Sue Ellen, i believe that a doll doesnt truly reveal its self until its named, which was told to me by another doll maker named Edyth, well atleast thats what i think Edyth was tring to say. Do you think the colors i have chosen are complimentary? Sue Ellen's arms are not painted yet, only gessoed.Oh yes, I also changed Sue Ellens hair, she now has signature ringlets infront of her applied ears. Her slip doesnt have closers yet so she looks alittle chunky, but she not.
I hope everyone is as happy as pie, and healthy as oxens!
Many Dollie Hugs,
Jackie

Hello Jackie. :) :) How have you been?

Sue Ellen is coming along wonderfully.

Truthfully....I think the fabric looks a little too big for her being so very small..but it might just be the way she is laying on it...THAT'S JUST MY HUMBLE OPINION SINCE YOU ASKED....!! and I could be very wrong ;) You are the master doll maker here....not me!

Hugs, D

Dang! Doreen you are right!!!!! I didnt think about that!!! Ok, I am going search for a different fabric, with a small design, and Thank You so very much for an honest opinion!!! : ) I am not use to this miniature stuff!

Ooooohhhhhhhhhhhh, how I love her, Jackie-Lou!!!! I sort of think that maybe the design is too big, but if you take a small piece and kinda smunch it up and lay it on her, it might be fine, since only a small section of the design will be in the dress, not the whole big huge ongoing design.... know what I mean? Just a thought from my tired pea-sized brain. I love her .... did I say that already? :o) Bee

Hehe Bee, I changed my mind again, and i was thinking on using her as a drawing prize, since i am not so very happy with her dress, and the challenge date is 2 months away. I am gunna give the dress one more try, and if it doesnt work... like they say, 3rd times a charm... I chose an old feedsack fabric, well atleast i think its feedsack anyways? How the heck are you doing? I'll put a pic on tomorrow, please let me know what you think. We are going to pour concrete tomorrow, my absolute favorite, I am looking forward to it!!!!
Many Hugs to you!!!

The dark red is a homespun and it reminds me of the 90's.
