A Prairie doll perhaps?

I painted this doll in hopes to make a prairie doll, but i might have given her too many details? She will have really simple clothing and will be sanded a roughed up a bit, too.. What are your thoughts on her?
Hugs,
Jackie

Oh Jackie,
Another beautiful face. She has a story all of her own. She is worn and tired, and has worked her little hands to the bone in the fields on the prairie I am sure of it. She is sun kissed and aged from over time. I love her.

Thanks for sharing today. Please stop by and let me share my Saturday post with you.

Country hugs, Sherry

She definitely has a story to tell. Perhaps she'll have a little quilt with her...

What a lovely piece.

She has such an expressive face! I think her clothes should be worn looking and she should have a prairie bonnet.

Beautiful doll I can see Mammy sitting back thinking over time gone by as she rest her weary soul. Life been hard but through it all she has been blessed. Her look is of peace and thankfulness. I really love her face. Peace and Many Blessings

I'm reading this book, "The Keepers Of The House." And I was struck by the fact that she reminds me of one of the characters...Margaret. Margaret is of mixed race--mother black and father white....The book won a Pulitzer many years ago...
