On a lighter happier note...

This poor doll over the past 2 weeks has had so many face lifts!!!!!!!  I think, on the top pic, she has too much darn forehead, haha i never though this was possible on an Izannah Walker doll!?? Hmmmm, one of those things that makes me go... HMMMM? Back to the face lift board, or perhaps a new hair do!? I dont know why her cheeks look so light...HMMMM?
 Hugs,

Here is a pic of my Izzy...BUT in seeing the pics i need to 'open' up one eye. The right one, and i am not so sure i like the color of the stain!!!!!!!!  Artis from the izannah Group, had mentioned a really great point, about making the shoulder plate to low, because then the arms will hang too low,  not sure if i have done that here? Hope everyone is healthy and happy and warm!!!

The texture of the stockinette looks fantastic. I know that you were a bit frustrated in working with the stuff with wide ribs, but it really shows up nicely in the end, I think. Was this a new stain? What do you usually stain with? This doll looks sooo much like the doll in the Carl Fox book.

Elaine,
This was a can i had bought from a yard sale, it said golden oak? Who knows maybe it was mixed, i am going to try a different color, so you see it too, the yellow color, not so good, i dont think? I like experiments , so well see what i come up with....wish me luck...

I find it so interesting how I can work on a piece and then after taking pics realize that something needs fixing or adjusting (usually it is the eyes).

This piece is looking great Jackie!

Still thinking about you and your hubby.

Hugs

Jackie, I think she looks perfect as she is! In life, nobody's eyes are symetrical, either side to side or top to bottom.

I think a major portion of the charm in Izannahs is their 'natural' quality...they are not perfect and if you look closely at originals, their eyes aren't symetrical either.

I wouldn't have noticed the difference in her eyes if you hadn't pointed it out!

We are, of course, our own worst critics.

She's fabulous, and no, I don't think her arms will hang too low.
