Sophia Grace is going home to her new Momma

Hello all,
Here is Sophia Grace, she is going home to her new momma, She is a reproduction Izannah Walker doll, hehe just incase ya'll didnt see the resemblance. I tried a different neckline on her dress, I really like it!!! Here Sophia Grace is sitting with my sweet Bucky O'hare, which doesnt go home w/ Sophia, I won him in a drawing from TDIPT, by Barbara from Turkey Hollow Folk Art!! Thank You Angie for purchasing and walking through the journey of Sophia Grace's beginnings, Her future looks bright and beautiful!!
Many Hugs,

New pair of eyes...

After blowing up a pic of an original Izannah Walker doll and cutting the eyes of the print, to see what shape they actually are, this is what i came up with. Still something wrong with the 'execution' of the shape of her face...or maybe her hairline, not quite sure, but I get to see a real one in person this month YES and Heck YES!!!!!! I am elated, beside myself and almost nearly doing ...flip-flops, because I've never been able to cartwheels! Hehe

This is sad!

I keep hoping for news that they will make enough money to stay open. http://bellevue.patch.com/articles/rosalie-whyel-doll-museum-to-close-in-2012

The doll museum, which has been in Bellevue for 19 years, will close next year because of finances.
I do hope to make a trip in February, I hope to actually see a real Izannah Walker doll. Would be a dream and I can mark this off of my 'bucket list'.
Many Regards,

Jewelry on dolls...?

Lately, i have had this obsession with old jewelry. I try to match a doll with an older piece of jewelry,  with limited funds it hard to get the really old stuff, but this is what i chose for this big Izzy doll. Just a simple old locket,on a string. I had thought about putting a picture of her in it? Not sure yet, tho.  Does anyone else do this with their dolls?
 Many Hugs,

Just a quick pic
 Jackie

I dyed this doll dress, not sure i'm liking it.... Will give another try, i thought since Hemp is a natural fabric that it would take to the dye really well, for some reason, its not!!!!!!!!!

Dolls

Big Sis, before seal and stain, i am thinking overhaul...she needs a touch more forehead, as her face is just to round.

Here is a large 28 inch Izannah Walker style doll i am working on,  she is still in her rough state, before finishing sanding.  Working on bonnets rights now will post a pic later.
Much sunshine and dollie fun to you!
